PACE Institute began as the training division
of Professional Practice Management Association, a Reading, PA-based consulting
organization
founded in 1977 by Rhoda E. Dersh. To meet the expanding need for services, PACE became a
licensed business school and embarked on a sustained growth curve.
Today, PACE has come of age, offering specialized associates degrees, 30 career programs
and special interest classes, all featuring office, computer and electronic technologies.
The PACE Philosophy
- Constant striving for excellence in preparing its students for
employment.
- The belief that self-confidence is at least as important for most
students in obtaining employment as are the more specific business and technical skills.
- A flexible administration of its programs while maintaining standards
of excellence.
- Responsiveness to the needs of individual students as well as to
emerging needs in the business and technical community.
- Involving faculty, staff, and students in evaluating the educational
program including related student services.
- Working with the business community to develop new programs for
emerging business needs and to familiarize students with the realities of the world of
work.
- Offering full and equal access to all programs, facilities,
activities, and services without regard to sex, race, color, religion, creed, national
origin or disability.
